Heart Centered Parenting Workshop

Join Amy Williams for a workshop in how to parent from the heart, letting go of daily family stressors.
 
Amy is the Founder of Parenting Through Prana, an online community with resources for creating heart-centered families. She is a Pranic Healer, Arhatic Yoga Practitioner, Waldorf inspired homeschooling parent and online teacher, who loves esoteric teachings and fiber arts. Amy is also the author of heart center children’s book “Unicorn Light” and creator of the accompanying video activities at the Heart-Crown University online.
She will also have her latest book available for sale, “Peacefully Parenting Through Prana”

Join Amy Williams as she guides you through a Meditation for Inner Peace at our beautiful educational urban farm at Giving Gardens of Indiana. This meditation will inspire blessings for the farm, our community and Mother Earth.

This will be an outside practice, please be prepared by dressing appropriately for the weather, and bring your own towel, blanket or chair.

Bring a mug to enjoy some warm tea as well.

You must Register to Participate.

If it is raining, the class will be canceled.

Annual Plant Giveaway-2022

Every year Giving Gardens of Indiana gives out free garden plants to the community. Our only request is that if you take the free plants, please share some of your harvest with others or someone in need.
This year’s plant giveaway will be a bit different from past years.
This year we will be giving away 100- 6 packs of plants to the first 100 people to register. That is 600 plants given away!!!!!
 
In order to get your free 6 pack of organic garden plants, you must register ahead of time. We will put your name on the list and you can pick them up anytime between 10am-12pm at our Urban Farm.
 
What else will be happening at the event?:
-We will have fun items up for raffle
-A Kids activity
-Free garden items to share
-Limited plants for sale
-Fundraising 
-Tour the garden
-And Community Fellowship

Who Screams, You Scream, we all Scream for ICE CREAM!!!!
 
Giving Gardens of Indiana is having an ice cream social fundraiser to raise money for our youth programs and the organization as a whole!
 
If you can’t make it to the event and would still like to support our organization you can make a donation at:

This sweet summer event is for the whole family! We will be serving Moo-Over Ice Creme and Popsicles. They will have plant based, allergen free and sugar free options available.
 
We will also have Lunar Infusions Kombucha serving their refreshing local kombucha!
 
The lovely Amara Gilraine will be our musical guest.
 
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants basketball team mascot will be greeting our guests and will have a bounce house for the kids to enjoy! There will also be a basket of Mad Ants swag up for raffle!
 
We will will also have local artists work up for auction and much more fun!!!
 
Please bring a camp chair or picnic blanket to sit and enjoy your time with the family!
 
Port a John available.
 
Parking limited at garden but overflow parking across the street at Accu-Tool.

Are your kids curious about gardening???
 
Join us for Kids Garden Club starting in July!!
We will learn and grow from seed to harvest!
We will have fun activities and snack-tivities to learn some basics around gardening.
 
 
Please have your child dressed for the weather, and clothing that can get dirty and wet.
 
Please provide sunscreen, sunhat, water and towel.

Let’s Compost!- Family Event

Join Brett from @Dirt Wain, (hosted by Giving Gardens of Indiana) for a family event all about Composting!
 
Have you wanted to know why composting is so important and how to do it at your own home? Brett will share the benefits and how to get started with some fun activities for all. He will also have available ways to sign up for his composting service.

This event will become a monthly event where we can come together as a community to make connection and get to know each other. 
 
 
Each event will be for dinner. Each individual or family should bring either their own meal for themselves or family (especially if you have food allergies)  or contribute a dish to share with the community who is gathered. 
If it rains or weather is poor we will cancel until next month.
 
Please bring:
 
-Blanket/camp chairs 
-Own beverages
-Own meal(if not sharing) or a Dish to share
-Own serving ware (plates, bowls, eating utensils, napkins) Helps cut down waste!!
-Openminded-ness and kind spirit and ready for fun!!
 
Community Guidelines:
 
-Respect for each other and the garden and property (we have the right to ask you to leave if this isn’t followed.)
-Please watch after your children (not responsible for injury or accidents)
-Pick up after yourselves
-No picking from garden without permission
-No smoking /drugs/weapons on property or belligerent behavior
-Have fun and make new friendships!
 
We will provide:
 
-Family fun, with games, play space and kid friendly activity. 
-Tables for the food
-Fire Pits and Firewood
-Port a potty to restrooms
-A safe space for community connection
 
We hope you can join us every month for an evening of good ole’ fashion community fun!

Pond Life-Family Workshop
 
Saturday Oct. 16th 10am-12pm

Cost: $5 per participating person (4+)
 
Must register to participate:
 
Join a family fun workshop for all ages!
 
Class size is limited. Please register asap!
 
Educator, Amanda Black will be sharing about who lives under and above the water!
 
In this workshop, Students will explore a pond ecosystem using their eyes, ears, hands, scoops, nets, and microscopes.
 
They will discover the huge variety of wildlife that lives in or near a pond, and learn how to tell the water quality by identifying the types of invertebrates they find in the muck.
 
Please be prepared to get wet and muddy. Dress appropriately.
 
Bring your own drinking water.
 
This workshop is hosted by Giving Gardens of Indiana at Morsches Park.
 
You must register to attend:
