Let’s Share a Meal!!
Pie Iron Pizza
Please bring your own “crust” or bread for your pizzas and a topping to share. Please have it cut up and in its own container with a serving utensil.
We will supply:
Pizza Sauce
Several Toppings
Cooking Spray
Hot Tea/Hot Chocolate
Several Toppings

This event will become a seasonal event where we can come together as a community to make connection and get to know each other.
Each event will be for dinner. Each individual or family should bring either their own meal for themselves or family (especially if you have food allergies) or contribute a dish to share with the community who is gathered.
If it rains or weather is poor we will cancel until next season change.
Please bring:
-Blanket/camp chairs
-Own beverages
-Own meal(if not sharing) or a Dish to share
-Own serving ware (plates, bowls, eating utensils, napkins) Helps cut down waste!!
-Openminded-ness and kind spirit and ready for fun!!
Community Guidelines:
-Respect for each other and the garden and property (we have the right to ask you to leave if this isn’t followed.)
-Please watch after your children (not responsible for injury or accidents)
-Pick up after yourselves
-No picking from garden without permission
-No smoking /drugs/weapons on property or belligerent behavior
-Have fun and make new friendships!
We will provide:
-Family fun, with play space and kid friendly activity.
-Fire pits and Firewood
-Tables for the food
-Port a potty to restrooms
-A safe space for community connection
We hope you can join us every month for an evening of good ole’ fashion community fun!

Annual Plant Giveaway-2022
Saturday May 28th, 2022
10am-12pm
Every year Giving Gardens of Indiana gives out free garden plants to the community. Our only request is that if you take the free plants, please share some of your harvest with others or someone in need.
This year’s plant giveaway will be a bit different from past years.
This year we will be giving away 100- 6 packs of plants to the first 100 people to register. That is 600 plants given away!!!!!
In order to get your free 6 pack of organic garden plants, you must register ahead of time. We will put your name on the list and you can pick them up anytime between 10am-12pm at our Urban Farm.
What else will be happening at the event?:

Ice Cream Social Fundraiser

Giving Gardens of Indiana is having an ice cream social fundraiser to raise money for our youth programs and the organization as a whole!

This sweet summer event is for the whole family! We will be serving Moo-Over Ice Creme and Popsicles. They will have plant based, allergen free and sugar free options available.

Are your kids curious about gardening???
Join us for Kids Garden Club starting in July!!
We will learn and grow from seed to harvest!
We will have fun activities and snack-tivities to learn some basics around gardening.
Please have your child dressed for the weather, and clothing that can get dirty and wet.
Please provide sunscreen, sunhat, water and towel.

Knife & Tool Safety Skills Workshop

Join Survival Skills Practitioner, Kyle Egolf and Giving Gardens of Indiana for a fun family experience!
In this workshop families will be taught proper knife and tool safety. From techniques that will keep yourself and others safe to proper use of tools such as knives (folding or fixed), axes, and saws. Also families will be taught how to safely practice knife skills anytime by training with what are called “Try Sticks”. A training system where you carve different notches in a single stick.
This workshop would be great for Parents and older Children with more dexterity and can follow directions well.
In the workshop we will be using tools with sharp edges and cutting surfaces.
You will take home your “TRY Stick” and directions to practice on your own.
Please bring a pair of gloves (preferably leather or leather based) to protect the hands.
Adults attending are encouraged to learn and participate as well.
